About Deb Anderson
Helping Groups Raise Money Since 2002
Hi, I'm Deb Anderson, owner of Best Fundraising Ideas.
Fundraising became personal to me long before it became a business. I had children involved in school trips to Washington, D.C., chorus, band, theatre, football, lacrosse, field hockey, dance, gymnastics, scouting, and plenty of other activities along the way. I also volunteered as a PTO member.
Reminders everywhere showed how important fundraising could be.

Sometimes groups were raising money for a trip. Sometimes they needed uniforms, equipment, activity fees, or help paying for programs families couldn't always afford. I enjoyed helping my own children and their groups, and as more opportunities opened, that grew into a business I started in 2002.
Since then, I've worked with thousands of schools, teams, churches, nonprofits, youth organizations, and other groups throughout the lower 48 states.

Fundraising Can Make a Real Difference for a Child
One of the most rewarding parts of what I do is knowing that fundraising can change what a child gets to experience.
The money a group raises may help pay for a school trip, new uniforms or equipment, a sports fee, a yearbook, or an activity a child might otherwise have to miss.
Over the years, I've had the opportunity to help hundreds of thousands of kids.
Of course, I want every fundraiser to be successful. But the ones I remember most are the times I knew the money raised made the difference between whether a child could participate at all.
That matters to me.
When a group contacts me, I do more than help them choose a fundraising brochure. I help change opportunities, experiences, and memories.
Experience That Helps Me Help Your Group
I've spent more than 24 years helping groups raise money, and much of what I've learned came from working directly with them and seeing what actually helps them succeed.
Earlier in my career, I became the company's top fundraising representative and eventually held the record for the highest fundraising sales in company history.
To me, that record represents experience.
It means I worked with many groups, answered many questions, helped solve many problems, and learned what chairpersons need before, during, and after a fundraiser.
My experience also goes behind the scenes. Over the years, I've worked with fundraising companies and distributors on product and brochure development, expanding product lines, online fundraising, youth prize programs, pre-sorted shipping, training, and ways to make fundraising programs easier for groups to use.
That experience helps me look at a fundraiser from the chairperson's side - not just from the company's side.
I'll Help You Find the Right Fundraiser
No single fundraiser is right for every group.
Your sellers matter. Your supporters matter. Your schedule matters. The time of year, the products you want to sell, how you want to collect payments, and whether you want brochure, online, hybrid, cashless, or virtual selling can all make a difference.
I'll take the time to learn a little about your organization and help you choose a fundraiser that works well for your group.
Sometimes you may already know exactly what you want. Other times you may be comparing several programs and have no idea where to begin.

Either way is fine.
You Work Directly With Me
One of the things I hear most often - from fundraising chairpersons and from the fundraising companies I work with - is that I genuinely care about helping groups raise money.
I spend time helping you choose the right fundraiser, but I don't disappear after you decide.
I'll help you get off to a good start, answer questions as your fundraiser is underway, and be here when you need guidance along the way.
You won't have to explain your fundraiser all over again to a different customer service representativeevery time you call.
You can work directly with me, and I'm available seven days a week when my groups have questions or need help.
Why I Still Love What I Do
After all these years, I still enjoy helping groups raise money.
Every fundraiser has a reason behind it. There is a trip someone wants to take, a team that needs equipment, a music program that needs support, a school activity a student wants to continue, or a child hoping to participate.
That is what keeps fundraising meaningful to me.
I'm proud of the business I've built, but I'm even prouder of the groups I've helped and the opportunities fundraising has made possible.
